Engineering for a better tomorrow

History

The engineering firm Prof. Czurda und Partner mbH (ICP), Rodenbach branch, was founded in 1992. Initially, the office was based in Kaiserslautern, but in 1997 the company headquarters was relocated from Kaiserslautern to Rodenbach. In 1997, a branch office was opened in the Eifel region, and the current branch office is located in Bitburg. In 2021, another branch office was opened in Bad Bergzabern.

After 20 years as Director and Chair of the Institute of Applied Geology at the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Prof. Dr Dr Dr Kurt Czurda, who gave the institute its name, went into well-deserved retirement at the end of 2005. On 16 February 2023, Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. Kurt Czurda passed away at the age of 82 in his hometown of Bregenz in Vorarlberg.

ICP has been part of the M&P Group since 2022. In 2024, the company name was changed to ICP Ingenieure GmbH.

ABOUT ICP INGENIEURE GmbH

Management Rodenbach, Bitburg & Bad Bergzabern branch

Managing Director Dipl.-Geologe Frank Neumann graduated from the Institute of Applied Geology at the University of Karlsruhe (specialising in engineering geology, soil and rock mechanics). He is registered with the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Engineers for the specialisms of groundwater, contaminated sites and hydrogeology and as an Ingénieur-Conseil (consulting engineer) with the Ordre des Architectes et Ingénieurs-Conseils Luxembourg. Furthermore, the BDG Berufsverband Deutscher Geowissenschaftler e.V. has awarded him the title Beratender Geowissenschaftler BDG. He is registered in the licence roll of the BDG Consulting Geoscientists.

In 2016, Oliver Semmelsberger, Dipl.-Ing. (FH), was granted power of attorney, and in 2024 he was also appointed managing director. He completed his studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern, majoring in civil engineering with a specialization in construction management. He also has professional training as a building materials tester specializing in soil and is a member of the Association of Road Construction and Traffic Engineers in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland (VSVI). Furthermore, he has been awarded the title of BDG Consulting Geoscientist by the BDG Professional Association of German Geoscientists. He is registered in the BDG Consulting Geoscientists license roll.

In 2019, Mr. B.Eng/B.Sc. Pascal Begon was appointed branch manager in Bitburg and was granted power of attorney in 2024. He completed his bachelor's degree in environmental geosciences at the University of Trier and his bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Trier University of Applied Sciences.

The ICP team consists of experienced geologists and engineers specializing in civil engineering, environmental and earth sciences, geography, and spatial and environmental planning, as well as building materials testers, trainees in building materials testing, commercial employees, and scientific staff who have been part of the team for many years.
